Why evangelism stands first in our work
The proclamation of liberty through the gospel of Jesus Christ is the fundamental priority of Mayuge Hope Ministries, and every other area of our service proceeds from it.
Material provision meets a real need and leaves a deeper one untouched. The Ministry therefore carries the gospel into every place its other programmes reach.
What the Ministry carries out through this programme
Evangelistic outreaches
The Ministry conducts outreaches that carry the gospel into communities across our district.
Child discipleship
Children between the ages of three and seventeen gather with us on Sundays for devotional class. We praise and worship, pray together, and provide a special meal. Our teaching is intentional about each child’s spiritual growth and about helping them discover who they are in Christ.
Children and youth training
Training is provided for children and youths, forming them for the leadership they will carry in their own spheres of influence.
Pastoral training
The Ministry conducts pastoral trainings that strengthen local leadership across the churches we work with.
Christian aid materials
Christian literature and aid materials are provided to individuals, groups, and congregations.
Church partnership
We partner with local churches to foster spiritual growth in individuals, groups, and whole communities
Who this programme reaches
Our discipleship work reaches children from three years of age upward, including every child within our sponsorship programme. Our outreach and training work reaches youths, pastors, congregations, and the wider communities of Mayuge District.
Devotional class runs every Sunday and has done since the earliest days of the Ministry. Outreach and training are conducted in company with partnering congregations, whose pulpits and people carry the work further than the Ministry could reach unaccompanied.
