Who we are

A ministry born from a refusal to look away

Mayuge Hope Ministry is a faith-driven organisation in Mayuge District, Uganda. Founded in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic by Pastor Layzell and Joyce Wejuli of Full Gospel Church, Kigandalo, together with Pastor Busein and Violet of Set Free Life Church, we exist to proclaim liberty through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Alongside the Gospel, we partner with local communities to develop affordable, self-reliant and sustainable solutions to poverty. What began as an emergency response has grown into a year-round ministry of education, nutrition, water and faith.

2019
Born in a storm

Mayuge Hope Ministry is founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Pastor Layzell and Joyce Wejuli of Full Gospel Church, Kigandalo, together with Pastor Busein and Violet of Set Free Life Church.
2020
An emergency answered

What begins as an emergency response to a community in crisis becomes a standing promise. Food, prayer and presence reach families across Mayuge District when they need them most.

A year-round ministry

The response matures into an ongoing ministry of education, nutrition, water and faith, with weekly school visits and regular care for elderly families.
2026
The sponsorship family

Child sponsorship opens its doors. In a single season, children across the district are registered by name, each with a photo, a story and a dream waiting for a sponsor.
Today
Still growing

More than 1,500 people have been touched by the ministry. Children are in classrooms, elders are cared for, and the next chapter is already being written.
