Sponsorship

How sponsorship works

Four steps, and the fourth one lasts for years.

1. Meet the children

Read the profiles below. Filter by age, school level or gender if that helps you decide, or simply look until a face stays with you.

2. Choose a child

Open their profile and use the sponsor button. We will confirm within a few days that the child is still waiting, so no child is ever promised twice.

3. Begin your support

Support is given monthly and can be paused or ended whenever your circumstances change. We would always rather know than wonder.

4. Stay connected

You receive updates as your child moves through school, and you are welcome to write to them. Many sponsors eventually come and visit.

Children waiting for a sponsor

Use the filters to narrow the list, or scroll and let a face find you.

What happens after you choose

We write to you first, to confirm the child and introduce the family and the school. From then on you hear how the year is going: what they are studying, how they are growing, where they need prayer.

Letters travel both ways. Children write back, and those letters are often kept for years by the people who receive them.

If you ever want to come and meet your sponsored child, you can. Our mission trips exist partly for that reason.

Questions sponsors ask

Other ways to walk with us

Sponsorship is one door. It is not the only one.

Care for an elder

Older people in Mayuge are often left carrying grandchildren alone. Our elders programme walks with them.

Pray with us

Send a request, or receive the things we are praying for in Mayuge and carry them with us.

Partner as a church

Churches and organisations can carry a whole area of the work rather than a single child.

One child, known by name

We have known this district since 2019, and we would be glad to introduce you to a child who is waiting.
