Founded in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayuge Hope Ministry grew from an emergency response into a year-round family of education, nutrition, water and faith.

From a storm to a family

2019
Born in a storm

Mayuge Hope Ministry is founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Pastor Layzell and Joyce Wejuli of Full Gospel Church, Kigandalo, together with Pastor Busein and Violet of Set Free Life Church.
2020
An emergency answered

What begins as an emergency response to a community in crisis becomes a promise: no family walks through the storm alone. Food, prayer and presence reach the villages of Mayuge.

A place to learn

The response grows into a year-round ministry of education, nutrition, water and faith. Children move from the edges of the village into nursery and primary classrooms.

The sponsorship family

Child sponsorship opens its doors. In a single season, nearly one hundred children are registered, each one known by name, each one matched with hope.
Today
Still growing

More than 190 children are walking toward their dreams: doctors, nurses, teachers, engineers and preachers. Elders are honoured, communities are fed, and the next hello is always coming.
